CHANGE IS A GOOD THING
Change is a Good ThingChange is the only thing that is constant in the Universe. Yet, we constantly resist and reject change whenever it looms. Why is that? Our experience has been that we establish a belief system by trial and error throughout our youth until we come to a basic understanding of our world and how to navigate safely within it. Ironically, once we establish that belief system, we are programmed to steadfastly maintain those beliefs as strongly as possible, regardless of whether they "work" for us later in life or not. They're our beliefs, damn it! Nobody can tell us what to do! That's just the way our minds work.

Many, many times we come to a different conclusion about our life and how it is working for us. We often remark, "if only this would happen," or, "as soon as I finish that, I'll be happy." Yet, even when those events happen, we still find ourselves unhappy and unfulfilled. There are many people who walk around waiting for "their ship to come in" and meanwhile, they're unhappy and unfulfilled. This is because they're always waiting for something outside of themselves to make the difference to them, rather than realizing that they, themselves, must make the difference within them.

UPDATE ON CRIMINAL TRIAL -
MISTRIAL!
Ted RobinsonFor those who have been wondering what happened with the Attempted Murder trial I was part of a couple of weeks ago, here's the scoop. The Judge blew up at me at the end of the fifth day of trial and declared a Mistrial the following day and recused (excused) himself from the case.
