Presence
I just came back from a week with Leonard Jacobson
in California and suddenly life is different again. It
seems that the same thing happens every year when
I return from my five day retreat. I come back
renewed and “floating on air” to some extent.
Leonard teaches “presence” and everyone who
attends (there were about 100 this year) does their
best to become present while they’re there.
Presence is the practice of just being here now in
the present moment with whatever is here with you.
It could be another person. It could be a sunset,
some flowers
or a redwood tree, but whatever it is, if you are truly
present, it is magical.
There’s nothing to do when you’re present. In fact,
its more what you’re not doing that’s important.
You’re not letting your mind take over all of your
thoughts and add to the laundry list that we all seem
to have running continuously in our minds. You’re
simply in the present moment. That also means
you’re not focusing on what happened in the past.
Or what’s going to happen in the future. You’re just
here - now - and you’re taking in whatever is here
with you.
I know it sounds too simple to be anything
interesting to most people, but I can attest that
once you actually do it - it’s amazing. What arose
for me this last trip (in fact the last three trips) was
a great deal of love for everyone there. I actually
went around hugging and kissing everyone I came
across. There must have been a lot of people who
had similar experiences, because not one of them
rejected my loving expressions. In fact, they were
universally enjoyed from everything I could determine.
I actually missed my flight home by a day (I got to
the airport a day early) and had to stay in a motel
for the day. Instead of experiencing my normal
response, which would have been frustration and
resultant anger, I noticed that I rather enjoyed
myself the entire time. I noticed the last roses on
the bushes in the middle of a drizzly rain. I noticed
the art on the walls in the small restaurant and
enjoyed the food immensely. In short, everything
was better than I expected. I was present with
whatever was happening and loving every minute of
it. I then realized that that was what I had taken
home with me. Presence. At least for the time
being. Now, my next goal is to maintain my
experience as I re-integrate back into my normal
daily grind. That’s when the true test will be given.
I’m in the midst of working out a means of being
present throughout the day on a regular basis. It’s
my intent to spend at least five times a day in
presence for at least five minutes. Not a bad goal.
Right? I’ll let you know how it goes in another email.
In the meanwhile, have a great day. Take a look at
a flower . . . a chair . . . or another person and just
be present with them for a few moments. See what
happens. If you want more information about
Leonard Jacobson, you can find his website on our
links page. It’s well worth a look.
Hugs,
Ted

EFT Level 1 Workshop was a Success!
We just finished our Level 1
Approved Content EFT Workshop on Saturday. It
was a great success. Everyone who attended said
they loved the work and we could tell from their
reactions that they resolved a lot of personal issues
while learning the technique. In short, there were a
lot of tired, but happy faces that left our Center
Saturday afternoon.
Which brings me to the fact that we’re holding our
Level 2 Approved Content EFT Workshop on Dec.
2nd
and 3rd. It's for those who have already taken
the Level 1 Workshop or who are already fully
familiar with the Level 1 work from Gary Craig’s tape
series or otherwise. This is an advanced program
which will teach the nuances of EFT and will address
your “art of delivery” and bring it to a higher level
than ever before. We will also be teaching specific
processes like the “Personal Peace Procedure” which
will help you eliminate all of the “writing on your
walls” that hold you back in life. We will also be
teaching the “tearless trauma” method and a host of
other methods to help you and others move toward
inner peace.
If you are interested in attending our Level 2
Approved Content Workshop, please check our
website on
the “Events” page and there is a more
detailed explanation of what we’ll be doing. Again, if
you want to attend, give us a call to register at
516-
248-5346.
Have a blessed day,
Ted and Maria Robinson

| Happy Thanksgiving |
| |
It's just about Thanksgiving and it's time to
reflect upon how thankful we are for whatever is in
our lives. We respectfully suggest that you ask
within yourself how thankful you are for all of
the "good" things
that happen and exist in your life. Then we suggest
you ask how thankful you are for all the "bad" things
in your life. That's right - the "bad" things too.
Have
you ever considered that its just our minds' judgment
that determines whether certian things are "good" or
"bad"? If we could just accept whatever comes into
our lives from a neutral position and learn to thank
God for whatever we are receiving - wow, wouldn't
that
be a different way to be in the world? Actually, it
would make you present within the world - just as it
is - without any judgments.
It has been said that there would be no pain in this
world if it wasn't for the mind's involvement. That
involvement is in the form of judgment. Put more
simply, if we didn't judge things to be "bad"
or "painful,"
everything would be different than it is now for most
of us. You see, we judge that the loss of a loved
one in a relationship is bad, when, in reality, it may
actually free us up to find the "love of our life." How
many times has it happened to you that
something "bad" happens to you and it ultimately
results in something much better than you ever
expected to come into your life?
So, at this special time of the year, when most of
our society is "giving thanks" for a "great harvest",
may we respectfully suggest to you that there is
another way to look at Thanksgiving. We suggest it
is a time to reflect upon all that has come
your way
and be thankful for all of it - no matter how
it initially
appears to you - and find something within it to be
grateful for.
It has been said that the most sincere form of
prayer is gratitude. We submit that you can find
something to be grateful for in everything that
happens in your life. All you need do is look a little
harder for it - without judgment - and we're sure
you'll find it.
Have a great Thanksgiving!!!!
