SUMMER SCHEDULE for EFT Borrowing Benefits Group and Free Meditation |
Don't forget the Tapping Group meets tomorrow, July 25th, at 7:00 PM.
We want to remind you that we are continuing to hold our Free meditation class on Tuesdays at noon for an hour and our EFT Borrowing Benefits Group sessions on Wednesday evenings between 7-9 PM for $20.00 at the Center for Inner Healing . For those of you who haven't yet taken advantage of our weekly classes, you might want to take a little time for yourself and try one or both of them to see how well you like them and how well they will do for you. Comments from our group members continue to be strongly supportive of our efforts to give back something to our community. The groups are open to all adults and are attended by a warm, caring group of people working on themselves in an honoring fashion to one another. Many of those who have attended have made great strides in their lives in a matter of months rather going through than years and years of therapy. EFT is one of the very reasons many of those people have been able to make such progress in their lives.
THE CENTER WILL BE CLOSED FROM AUGUST 8th - AUGUST 14th.
No Meditations will be held in August after August 7th and there will be no EFT class on August 8th. We will be having the EFT group on August 15th as planned. Then we'll be closed again from August 23rd to September 1st. We'll be back for the Meditation class on September 4th at Noon and the EFT group on September 5th at 7 PM.
In the meanwhile, we wish you a wonderful summer and hope to see you soon. | |

FRUITS TO MAKE YOU FEEL HEALTHY AND ALIVE |
 |
Apples: high in water content and fiber
Bananas: loaded with potassium
Berries: filled with antioxidants and fiber, boosts metabolism
Grape fruit: helps break down fat
Grapes: loaded with antioxidants
Oranges: high in vitamin C and lots of fiber
Melons: potassium, vitamin C and burns fat
Pineapple: Bromelaine and fiber
As the saying goes, "eat live foods and you will feel alive!" Fruits are plentiful at the moment and throughout the next couple of months so you have the opportunity to eat as many different types as possible.
A great simple breakfast is a mix of blueberries, strawberries, kiwi, pineapple, banana in a dish. You can also use it to top french toast, ice cream or frozen yogurt.
Mix different kinds of melons. Honeydew, watermelon and cantaloupe in serving bowl and add fresh mint for a refreshing meal or snack.
If fruit is wilting, cut it up and put in the freezer. I freeze all kinds of fruits. I like to make a smoothie in the morning with the frozen fruits, especially when it is very hot outside. Take frozen fruit and put it in a blender with orange juice or water. Mix on high speed and you have a perfect frozen smoothie. This morning, I mixed frozen blueberries, strawberries, banana, pineapple, papaya, water and Mangosteen juice. I made 2 tall glasses that fills me up for the entire morning.
Enjoy!

WE MOVED OUR OFFICE, BUT NOT OUR CENTER!!!
We're now relocated our office to 26 St. Pauls Place in Hempstead, New York and kept our Center at 175 W. Old Country Road in Hicksville. We've kept our phone numbers the same for our healing office 516-248-5346; and for my law office 516-248-6600. While we're still in the midst of getting things working and straightened out, we're actually operating nicely and looking forward to working with more people than ever before in our new place.
We're also getting ready to move our home into the same location. We hope to be here full time by the end of August so that Cody can start his school year from here.
We have some other exciting news to share with you as well. Please read our summer schedule.
Much love,
Ted and Maria |

FRIENDSHIP |
|
What is friendship? What is a friend? How do you define it for yourself? For others? Why have a friend or a friendship? Notice how these questions make you feel.
From my perspective, a friend is someone who likes, loves and accepts me for just who I am. Friends don't demand much or anything from me other than my company from time to time. They offer me their friendship, which I see as their offer of themselves when I need them. I know that because that's what I offer my friends. Unconditional love, respect and usually admiration. I have to not only like someone, I must respect and admire them in some fashion or on some level for me to allow them to be considered my friend. How about you? What are your criteria?
Why have a friend? Or a friendship? I like to have friends because I feel I can count on them when "the chips are down." About two years ago, I contracted spinal meningitis and almost died. I was in a hospital for three weeks and at home for another month or two literally getting back on my feet. As my friend/secretary/paralegal Theresa said to me, "I was lucky." I said, "Are you crazy? I almost died." Her response was, "You didn't have to die to discover who your friends are." She was right. I had so many people coming to see me in the hospital, I couldn't keep track of them all. I could see their worried faces and derived from those faces that I must be in real jeopardy, but I couldn't tell that from within myself most of the time. It was only later when I looked it up on the Internet that I discovered how lucky I was to have survived at all. I considered myself luckier because many of my friends came to visit me and did hands on healing of one sort or another. That's why we have friends, isn't it? But I never considered that aspect beforehand. I just liked all of those people beforehand and apparently, they liked me too.
Another reason for friendship is to enjoy the good times together. There is nothing better in my view than enjoying some good company and good food with a friend. Some of my most memorable times have been spent over a lunch or dinner table talking with a friend. Probably the most enjoyable times are those spent in presence with a friend. Somehow there's a quiet underpinning to all of our interactions once we've been present together.
So, what is a friend? A person who I can spend time with in presence having a great time being with. Someone I care about and who cares about me. They care if I live or die. They care if I'm feeling okay or not. They care about me and I feel the same about them. I treasure my friends. It hurts when I lose even one. I don't have a lot of friends, so I treasure the ones that I have.
How do you feel about your friends? What makes someone your friend or you their's? Let me know and I'll post them next time. |
| UPCOMING EVENTS |
Both Maria and I will be lecturing at the National Guild of Hypnotists in Marborough, Massacheusetts on August 12 and 13th. We will be speaking on EFT and how to use it to induce hypnosis in a client as well as how to do the Personal Peace Procedure.
For those of you who can't make it up to the NGH Convention in Massachusetts, I will be speaking at the Eyes of Learning at Levittown Hall on Levittown Parkway in Hicksville, NY on August 17th from 8 PM- 10 PM. The lecture will be on the Personal Peace Procedure so you'll still have the chance to learn how to bring absolute peace into your life.
The Personal Peace Procedure is a unique way of eliminating all of those old and not-so-old hurts, resentments, angers and all your other negative feelings into resolution so that you can feel truly peaceful within yourself. You can do the procedure in the quiet of your own home and it works like a charm. If you want to bring someone who is close to you who needs more peace in their life to the lecture, don't hesitate. It costs $12.00 for non-members and $8.00 for members. You won't regret it.
On another note, we are also forming a number of classes in various areas of interest. Please take a look at all of them to see which ones interest you. Our space is limited so please call us as soon as you make your mind up as to which one appeals to you. A full explanation about each type of class follows the dates and times.
